The distinction between wire and cable

Wire and cable are used for power, telecommunication and transmission related material usage.

Wire and cable, and there are no strict boundaries. Generally, products with few cores, large product diameter and simple structure are called wires. Without insulation, the product is called bare wire and the others are called cables.

The conductor cross-section greater than 6mm2 is called the large wire, the conductor less than or equal to 6mm2 is called the small wire, and the insulated wire is also called the wiring. Wire and cable include bare wire, enameled wire and electrically insulated wire, power cable, communication cable and optical cable.
